idarkness comes alive! (nearly)

The night I wrote that last post I came up with a brilliant design and a brilliant idea. (this will please Lizzi)
I won’t disclose the details right now because the idea is so brilliant.
It’s ironic really, writing that post about having no inspiration actually gave me inspiration.
Above you can see a small preview of the new website and how it will look. It does not disclose the idea completely though
but this could actually be big if handled in the correct way.
Areas which could spoil the idea have been censored.
Getting out of a rhythm?

Lately I seem to have gotten into a very lazy motion of sitting down to do some work on the computer (ie web development) and ending up doing nothing at all.
It’s starting to get on my nerves a bit when I have some spare time to develop something, ending up with nothing every time.
For example, it’s today that has sparked me to write this. See the image above.
I decided to begin building idarkness, my long term development project which should hopefully generate me some revenue, increase traffic through my websites and generally give me something extra to work on.
I started work on this at around 12pm today and since then all I have to show for it is what can be seen on www.idarkness.net, which isn’t much, by any means.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s classy, clean and modern, but there’s nothing there except a few lines of XHTML and some marginally complex CSS (which isn’t complex).
I must say however that there is only one website I have updated and built upon and thats www.arctic-monkeys.com.
Why? I don’t know, it just seems to be able to grown everytime I do something on it.
Maybe that’s the reason? Maybe it’s because when I do something on the Arctic Monkeys Fansite it actually gets recieved by a lot of people.
In case your wondering what has been added I recently redesigned the mailing list, added features such as the specials pages and added in a bit of ajax javascript trickery (see the navigation bar on the website to the right, highlighted red).
If anyone knows of a way to get out of this rift let me know.
Oh, and I seem to be getting bored of all my music collection and have resorted to playing Daft Punk’s Aerodynamic, which is very techno of me.
What next? Well, maybe after we go to Silverstone at the weekend (woohoo) I’ll feel regenerated and ready to take on the world. Or maybe my ear drums will have burst, my arms and legs ache from 200 miles worth of driving and I just sleep for 2 solid days.
Anyhow, things are looking odd.
The Arctic Monkeys house!

A trip to the Arctic Monkeys house will do you good!
(it may give you nightmares though)
An insight into the house which featured as the artwork for the Arctic Monkeys album "Favourite Worst Nightmare".
A 2 housr drive there and a 3 housr drive back makes for a brilliant day in Liverpool, and lots of photos.
A video coming soon too!
Make sure you visit the Arctic Monkeys fansite for some of the 200 photos we took.
Computer Game
Over the coming days I will be posting production of my computer game which is being developed for my Final Major project at college.
It is based on the racing genre and at the moment it’s not very good. I can however upload you a demo of this so you can see how things are coming and allow you to play the game.
It will also give you a chance to see how a game is developed in the real world and also how I work as a person.
Keep checking in the next few days and you maybe in for free computer game! (not a very good one though)
Also the lack of updates it due to my busy schedule at the moment.
idarkness Network

The new network site is on it’s way!
Featuring all the websites which are a part of idarkness, the website will attempt to "share" the traffic of the sites in order to drive more traffic through the system and promote some of the other parts of idarkness.
Freshsites will be a part of this network aswell as several other sites.
Keep watching www.idarkness.net for more information.
