New camera!

For Christmas I got a brand new camera! A 400D to be precise, and it’s amazing.
To take a look at some of my festive pictures nip over to the new photograph page on FreshSites. And if someone fancies donating a little for a pro account (which I will get one way or another) let me know.
Competiton Winner!
For that!
Winner of the Xmas competition at Huddersfield University.
They simply wanted an animation creating for use on their website promoting their business slogans and their festive cheer. So I made that, submitted it and won some money! (undisclosed for you)
What is it about? Well, one of the tag lines used by the Huddersfield Uni Gateway is "Increasing Innovation". What is a more innovative way for Santa to travel this Christmas? Rocket Power!
See it live in action over at http://www.hud.ac.uk/gateway/index.xml. Please also bear in mind that on the website at Huddersfield, the developer has put the banner in WAY too small and FAR too wide, therefore it is very distorted. So you can see it above instead.
Honeyfits Website
A few weeks ago I started development on a brand new website for a London band named Honeyfits.
Check out their music over at myspace.com/honeyfitsmusic.
The new site is nearly ready to go live (only a week away) and at the moment is in testing mode. Which means it works but is vulnerable.
You can see a small preview above.
The guys are building a nice following down south and are reaping the rewards of traveling around the London venues.
The idea behind the website comes from the band themselves. They wanted a pub theme based on the name "Ale And Powder". So we gave it to them, in the form of a giant pint.
Keep an eye out on www.honeyfits.com for more information.
Steel City Underdogs

Not completely dead as you may have thought. We (when I say we I mean I) have been working tirelessly (for a few hours yesterday and today) developing some album artwork for local Sheffield mini business Origin Management.
These guys manage a few bands in Sheffield and wanted to create a compilation promoting them.
"We just need something simple. Like a photo of Sheffield with guitars." said John Crowley of Origin.
So I used an image of Sheffield gardens and manipulated it. It was first to be a simple "new to old" technique but ended up turning into the popular theme of grunge styling. Think of it as the Sheffield Gardens injected with rock and roll. Good analogy? Thanks!
And once again, it’s a first for Freshsites, album artwork.
Also, a quick message. Freshsites may be closing down and making way for a new name. Keep here for updates.
